What is Hypnotherapy?

The American Psychological Association describes hypnotherapy as a cooperative interaction in which the participant responds to the suggestions of the therapist.

The technique is clinically proven to provide medical and therapeutic benefits, most notably in the reduction of pain and anxiety.

Hypnotherapy bears little resemblance to the stereotypical images. Instead, the therapist serves as a sort of coach or tutor and guides the patient in a sleepy- or trance-like state.

It is a state characterized by focused attention, heightened suggestibility, and vivid thoughts.

With hypnotherapy you can reinvent and empower yourself to be the person you wish to be. Most people find that they need help along the way to make their lives more enjoyable and fulfilling. Perhaps there is a specific goal you want to reach—to stop smoking, weight loss, or sports enhancement— or you simply want to boost confidence so you’re better in groups or public speaking. Contact Risa and come in for an appointment. You’ll be glad you did.
